Reserves:
Margaret River 1-3 Eaton Town
The Reserves went into the game with a strong line up including an assortment of backpackers who were showing their class and a few first team hopefuls trying to work their way into the league team.
The game started at a high pace in hot conditions which lead to the game becoming scrappy and bogged down in midfield. The defence of Walker, Neiuwpoort, M.Butler and Hassan were easily dealing with the threat of Margaret River limiting their chances. Eaton had their first chance of the game when Hassan had a shot from just outside the box which was saved by the keeper. The deadlock was finally broken by Japanese backpacker Hiroaki Kamei as he was given time to turn and shoot at the edge of the box and duly obliged by firing his shot into the bottom corner. Margaret River equalized pretty much straight away after there was a mix up between M.Butler and goalkeeper Oakey.

Strange was back after missing the first game of the season through injury and what an impact he made as he constantly terrorised the Margaret River defence playing in his non preferred position of left midfield. After a few bursting runs into the box Strange was rewarded when he cut in from the left and finished comfortably in the bottom right corner of the net.
The midfield paring of Andy Butler and Marc Hill were controlling the middle of the park for the remainder of the game and just after the break Hill scored a long range goal worthy of winning any game. Eaton held out for their first victory of the season sending a message to the rest of the reserves league.
