Eaton Town vs. Collie Power 27.04.09
Eaton Town travelled to Collie in good spirits after earning a battling draw with Dunsborough. They were also buoyed going into the game as they watched their reserves side triumph in a tense penalty shootout.
A few changes were made to the side which held Dunsborough with Bourne coming into the starting eleven in the absence of French backpacker Moises and Wilcox replacing Willetts at right back.
Eaton dominated early on as they played a very high intensity game but then the Town let Collie into the game. It was a tight affair in the first half with a few chances falling for Spurling and Collie also had a penalty claim at the other end.
Half time 0 – 0
Eaton Town came out in the second half with renewed enthusiasm and intensity. Coach Shilcof switched Quinn to the right midfield and Bourne in just behind the strikers which proved to be an inspired move. After some good play down the left wing Spurling sent a teasing ball into the penalty area which was met by Bourne who guided his looping header just inside the upright.
Eaton 1 Collie 0
Bourne was replaced after his goal for Dave Rodgers in a straight swap. Plenty of chances fell Eaton’s way as they looked to put the tie beyond doubt. Link up play between Spurling and Rodgers saw Rodgers head a ball right into the path of Captain Jumeaux who found himself 12 yards out with plenty of time to pick his spot. Instead he produced possibly one the worst finishes in Eaton history, lobbing the ball straight into the hands of the grateful Collie keeper. Soon after Quinn scored just inside the penalty box with a low hard strike after some impressive link up play between Wilcox and McMillan.

Eaton 2 Collie 0
Quinn made it three nil soon after with a courageous header after some great work down the left wing involving Scantlebury and the ever-present Portman. Quinn was left concussed after his second and he left the field leaving Eaton with 10 men for the last 10 minutes. Spurling then bagged himself a deserved goal late into the game with a nicely placed volley.

Special mention also goes to Gareth Johnston as this was his last game before a groin operation. Eaton Town extends thanks to Gareth for his contribution and wishes him a speedy recovery.
